Powertrain Warranty
- Premium Protection |
|
|
|
|
| |
Insist on Powertrain Warranty - It’s
the smartest thing you can do. Especially when you consider the
high risks and unnecessary costs of having to repair your vehicle’s
“drive train” shortly after purchase. |
| |
|
| |
When purchasing a vehicle there is little likelihood
that the manufacturer-backed warranty will still protect you from
the cost and inconvenience of a mechanical breakdown. Normally these
warranties expire before the high-risk period begins, leaving you
overwhelmed by the unanticipated high cost of repairing your engine
or transmission. |
| |
|
| |
Protect yourself and your savings by ensuring
that your vehicle includes a Veri-Cheque post manufacturer Powertrain
Warranty- your safety-net against unexpected repair costs …
when it counts. |

4. Vehicle Eligibility
& Maintenance Schedule: The named used vehicle must
not have traveled more than 250,000 KM. Moreover, in order to maintain
eligibility for repair and claim payment, the named used vehicle
must undergo an oil and filter change immediately preceding the
warranty period and then at every three (3) month interval, or every
5,000 KM whichever occurs first. Documentation to substantiate this
service from a licensed repair establishment must be presented before
claim approval. Luxury European models, AWD/4WD vehicles, turbocharged/supercharged
vehicles and commercial vans and trucks are not eligible for coverage.
|
| |
|
5. Maximum Liability:
The maximum liability per claim is $1,000 for 6 Months / 6,000 KM,
or $1,250.00 for 6 Months / 12,000 KM, or $1,500 for 12 Months /
25,000 KM, or the purchase price of the vehicle whichever is less
(the effective warranty period and thus corresponding liability,
must be indicated on the first page of this Agreement). Before a
claim can be processed, the named used vehicle must undergo diagnostic
testing to substantiate that the said mechanical damage is within
the scope of this Agreement. Damage as a result of wear and tear
is not covered under this Warranty. |
| |
|
6. Repairs: A
mutually agreed upon licensed repair establishment must perform
all testing and repair. If the Applicant chooses to repair the named
used vehicle prior to approval, or at a repair establishment that
has not been mutually agreed upon, the repair costs will not be
covered under this Agreement. Repair estimates judged unreasonable
in relation to other alternatives can be refused. |
| |
|
7. Claim Payment: Veri-Cheque
Ltd./Louron Leasing Ltd. as the Warrantor of this Agreement will
pay the mutually agreed upon licensed repair establishment for all
approved repair work directly. |
| |
|
8. Renewable: This
Warranty Agreement is renewable once the initial warranty has expired
and the vehicle has not exceeded the maximum kilometer limit of
250,000 KM. In order to maintain eligibility for renewal, the named
used vehicle must be thoroughly checked by a mutually agreed upon
licensed mechanic for damage to the covered parts (stated above).
Furthermore, the named used vehicle must pass the Vehicle Emission
Inspection Report (where applicable) and the Veri-Cheque Ltd./Louron
Leasing Ltd. “Powertrain Warranty Drive Train Check List”.
Moreover, the vehicle must undergo an oil and filter change immediately
preceding the new warranty period. Once the above is complete, the
Applicant must again certify that the named used vehicle is in proper
operating condition as at the date stated on the new Warranty Agreement.
If damage is detected and not fixed before the new warranty period
begins, the new Warranty Agreement will be deemed void. A new Authorization
Number will be issued to signify the renewal of coverage. |
| |
|
| 9. This Warranty Agreement is not transferable
at any point in the warranty period. |
